Samarra Journal of Engineering Science and Research (SJESR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal established in 2023. Published by the College of Engineering, University of Samarra, Iraq, SJESR provides a premier platform for disseminating high-quality research in all fields of engineering science and applied research. The journal is committed to advancing engineering knowledge through rigorous peer review, open-access publication, and adherence to the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics.

Publication Frequency: Quarterly (March, June, September, and December)

Special Issues: The journal may publish additional special issues for conferences and symposia.

Upon acceptance for publication, authors agree to transfer copyright of their manuscript to SJESR. SJESR becomes the copyright holder, with exclusive rights to publish and distribute the work in all forms and media.

Why Copyright Transfer

Copyright transfer to SJESR ensures:

Ethical Standards

Ethical Compliance

Authors must confirm that:

- Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) approval for animal studies.

Authorship

All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research.
All who contributed significantly must be listed as authors.
All authors must approve the final submitted version.
Authorship criteria follow ICMJE guidelines.

Originality

Manuscripts must not be under consideration at any other journal.
Previously published work cannot be resubmitted.
Proper disclosure is required for preprints or conference abstracts.

All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest (financial, personal, or professional) that could be perceived as influencing their research or its interpretation.

Stock ownership or equity interests.
Patents or patent applications related to the work.
Honoraria, travel grants, or speaking fees.

Peer Review

All submissions to SJESR undergo rigorous double-blind peer review by experts in the relevant field. This process ensures:

Objectivity and fairness (identities of authors and reviewers are concealed).
Quality assurance and validation of research methodology.
Constructive feedback to improve manuscripts.
Identification of any ethical concerns.

Review Timeline

Authors can typically expect the first decision after peer review within 6–8 weeks of submission. The total duration of review varies depending on:
