Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Samarra Journal of Engineering Science and Research (SJESR) charges Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover the, management costs, operational expenses, web maintenance and digital services, and long-term preservation of published content.
Standard Fees

Fee Waivers
In recognition of exceptional circumstances affecting research capacity in certain regions, SJESR completely waives publication fees for authors from the following countries:
- Palestine
- Syria
- Yemen
- Sudan
- Somalia
- Comoros
Effective Date: July 23, 2025
Eligibility: At least one author must be affiliated with an institution in one of these countries.
Application: Automatic upon submission; no separate waiver request is needed.
Reviewer Discount
To recognize the valuable contribution of peer reviewers to the journal, authors who serve as reviewers for SJESR receive a 50% discount on publication fees.
Discount Details:
- 50% reduction in publication fees.
- One discount earned per manuscript reviewed.
- Discount applicable to future manuscript submissions.
- Reviewers must complete the review process to qualify.

Payment Process
When Payment Is Due
Publication fees are due upon acceptance of your manuscript following peer review. Authors will receive payment instructions with the acceptance notification. The article will not be published until payment is received.
